The Golden Retriever is a dog that thrives on being a part of your family, they have impeccable temperaments, they are affectionate, smart, have fantastic personalities, love a game and are a delight to own and be owned by. Golden Retrievers live to please you. At Emperosgold our aim is to produce Goldens that are capable of being first and foremost wonderful family pets. They are great gun dogs will do well in the Show Ring, at Obedience, Agility and tracking, they are suitable to be used as Guide Dogs, Pets as Therapy Dogs and Companion Dogs. Our Golden Retrievers are only breed with if they have sound Temperaments, And all our Conformation Breeding Stock are tested for Hereditary Hip/Elbow Dysplasia, and have current eye Certificates.   About us I grew up on a Dairy Farm in South Gippsland . We had many pets Guinea Pigs, Frogs, Rabbits, Birds, Cats, Calves and Dogs; we even had pet Eel at one stage. The pet that meant the most would have to have been a Golden Retriever my parents purchased from a local breeder, Dr. Kim Harrison. Her name was Sweetridge Chantelle (SASHA). That is where my Love of Goldens began, she had a Lovely temperament, and she would round our Pet Rabbits up and put them in their Cage. Sasha even bought us eggs from the chook house. She had a very gentle nature; nothing ever seemed to worry her, like all true Golden's she had a smile for everyone.

In Dec 2002 my husband and I purchased our first Golden. Allytrap Mystique (LOLLY) from Mrs Harrison of Mirboo North (coincidence, no relation). In 2004 Lolly had her first litter of pups. When all Lolly`s puppies went to their new homes, I couldn't help myself. Our second Golden Was Kamelot Lady Of The lake She has retiered to live her days with karen and Jeff. I am now hooked on Goldens and Showing!!! In 2008 we will be campainging Idol, Spirit who are all our own breeding.
